I love Wednesday nights. For the timing being, I am nannying on Wednesdays until 7 pm. This is perfect for Gideon's schedule because he usually goes to bed between 7:30 and 8. When we get home, its BATH time. This is a really special time for me. Jared is away at small group so Gideon and I get to share this time together. We love to take a bath together. Giddy is getting to such a fun stage. I ask him if he wants to get in the bath and he gives me a huge smile. It is the cutest thing. I'm pretty sure he just smiles back because he thinks I am silly or something. But when we get in the bath, he is in heaven. He is so calm and smiley. Just last week he started to kick a little and hit his hands in the water.
After we get out of the bath, I put his pajamas on him and we snuggle up in the rocking chair. I read him a story from his Jesus Storybook Bible. This is probably the best thing about Wednesday bath night for me. I just feel like there is no greater pleasure and duty I have as a mom and as a follower of Jesus, to teach my son about Jesus. I pray every day that Gideon will know Jesus' saving grace. I pray that God's will be done in his life. It make the long term seem a little less scary when I trust in the Lord and ask that His will be done in Gideon's life.
"The word became flesh and made his dwelling among us. We have seen his glory, the glory of the one and only son, who came from the father, full of grace and truth." John 1:14
